Houghton Regis Helpers has been helping people since the launch on 1st December 2011.  The group of volunteers are there for people without close family or friends nearby who might need short term help, such as a lift to the doctor’s, shopping, collecting prescriptions, dog-walking, or practical help such as changing a light bulb or battery, helping to fill in forms or popping round for a chat and a cup of tea.

All volunteers have DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) clearance, carry ID cards and the group has public liability insurance.
